What’s Hot: America’s high-rollers push “Gaming Supervisors” (averaging $46,600) to the top of the Best Paid in the Personal Care and Service group, followed by “Flight Attendants” who annually average $39,840. Next up are the “Embalmers” ($39,320) and “Makeup Artists, Theatrical and Performance” (a small group of 1,930, averaging $39,020), an interesting combination of occupations, which each try to make certain ‘stiffs’ look good.

What’s Not: Many of those providing a personal touch face an inhospitable paycheck as “Shampooers” ($18,300), “Amusement and Recreation Attendants” ($18,930) and “Ushers, Lobby Attendants, and Ticket Takers” ($19,100) are at the top of the Least Paid list. And speaking of someone looking for a better draw, “Gaming Dealers” are the 5th Least Paid at ($19,890).
